Mikropsychia (Kleingesinntheit, Selbstbezogenheit) ist ein Begriff des griechischen Philosophen Aristoteles und beschreibt den Rückzug in die Privatsphäre, sowie den daraus hervorgehenden Verlust des Verantwortungsgefühls für die Gesamtheit. Aus der Mikropsychia resultiert die ausschließliche Beschäftigung mit den Dingen, die in unmittelbarem Zusammenhang mit einem selbst stehen. So entsteht ein kollektives Desinteresse, dass soziale Ungerechtigkeit und Unterdrückung ermöglicht und sogar indirekt fordert.
